We Took A Whack but
Now We're Back.
At approximately 9:45 PM on March 14, 2008, an F2 tornado cut a mighty swath through the heart of downtown Atlanta. It was a devastating blow to our neighbors in Cabbagetown and did its fair share of damage to a portion of The Stacks, as well.
It was a "big blow" to our community and The Stacks in particular. The rebuilding effort has been staggering due to the strict requirements of the Urban Design Commission and the Atlanta Historical Society. And it gave us an outstanding opportunity to rebuild to the highest construction and environmental standards.
Greener, more efficient and more handsome than ever, The Stacks are back even better than before.
